Now let me tell you what we gained and why it was worth every sacrifice.
Back in May, I wrote about all that we gave up to move to Spain — leaving behind the “American dream” we’d spent our adult lives building. It was hopeful, but also hard and a little heartbreaking. We were saying goodbye to a life and a lifestyle to start over an ocean away.
Sometimes, the only way to see yourself clearly is to wipe the slate clean.
